These drawings and the engineering they represent were prepared by StarFire on a fee basis. They are the property of StarFire Engineering and Technologies, Inc. and Eric Hopp. They are specific to ERIX 1146 / Amtrak PV 800959.
The work included collision post repairs and some re-arrangement to clear Amtrak train-line receptacles. The reinforcement at the top of the collision posts corrects a deficiency in the original design, relative to AAR spec S-034. I chose to restore the steps as modified by the Great Northern Railroad (fixed) rather than as-built (roll-up.) Some components in the drawings are supplied by NorthWest Rail Electric. Engineering completed in March of 2010.
